CVS Caremark
CVS Caremark is the pharmacy benefit management subsidiary of CVS Health and one of the three largest PBMs in the United States, which together handle roughly 80% of US prescription claims. It serves health plans, employers and government programs with formulary management, claims processing, plan design and administration, mail order pharmacy and specialty pharmacy and infusion services, and processed about 1.9 billion 30-day equivalent claims in 2024. Alongside its traditional rebate-based contracts it offers TrueCost, a model introduced in 2023 that prices at the net cost of medication with separately disclosed administrative fees.
